PHYSICALLY-BASED ATMOSPHERIC SCATTERING RAY-TRACER

Accurately simulate atmospheric scattering with a parameterization of the atmospheric scattering function, a precomputation and rendering phase, and an efficient lookup table for storing atmospheric scattering in an environment map.

Ray-traced image using Cycles

A dream-like, warmly-lit Greco-Roman island scene with custom texturing and geometry, global illumination effects, and various techniques such as bloom, depth of field, procedural modeling, and cloth simulation.

Simple recursive ray tracer

Implemented Python ray tracer using Blender's API, using the Blinn-Phong shading model for physically correct reflections and transmissions. The resulting ray traced image accurately depicts the scene with realistic shading and illumination.

Computer Vision Research Assistant (Ron Fedkiw)

Impacted motion capture for animation by developing a cost-effective pipeline that allows for the creation of animations from a single 2D video and applying them to rigged meshes, with the ability to optimize and train for separate meshes.

Conceptualized and built a innovative social platform that combines gaming and social networking to create a virtual representation of University life, complete with real-time location-based messaging and Zoom rooms for hosting campus events.

Virtual Reality Escape Room

Designed and developed a fully-realized escape room game in Unity3D, gaining expertise in the entire VR application development process including 3D graphics, real-time rendering, tracking, haptics, and more, with a focus on environmental design and game visuals.

Reconstructing temporally high resolution brain fMRI from low resolution images

Proposed a model and developed a super-resolution GAN using PyTorch to reconstruct low-resolution fMRI pediatric oncology images into high-resolution ones, enabling shorter scan times for patients while maintaining image quality in collaboration with the Stanford School of Medicine.

OpenGL rendering pipeline implementation

Implemented the full graphics pipeline and beyond for virtual reality applications, including advanced rendering techniques and integration of IMUs and sensors.

Transformed the look and feel of Inspirit AI, a globally-recognized program that teaches high school students about the limitless potential of AI, as a design intern for a team of esteemed university alumni and graduate students.
